About the Beta Pilot

What are we testing and why does it matter?

IAWH Health has developed a mobile application designed to support women enrolled in the HeartStrong Community program. The app provides daily self-monitoring support, educational content, health tracking, and community connection, all in one place and built in the IAWH brand identity.

Before the HeartStrong app is finalized, we need real community input. The beta pilot will enroll 20 community volunteers to use the app over a defined testing period and provide structured feedback on usability, design, function, and relevance to their daily lives.

The final version of the HeartStrong app will be built around what beta participants tell us. Your input will directly shape what this app becomes.

What the App Does

Built around how women actually manage their health.

The HeartStrong app is designed as a daily companion for women managing hypertension. Here is what is inside:

Heart Health Check-In

A daily check-in prompt that helps users log their blood pressure readings, note symptoms, and track how they are feeling. Small steps. Big impact. The app makes the daily habit of self-monitoring easy and consistent.

📖

Education

Curated, evidence-based health content on hypertension management, medications, nutrition, stress, and more. Learn. Empower. Thrive. Content is written in plain language and grounded in clinical evidence.

📈

Track Your Health

Visual tracking of blood pressure trends over time, giving users and their clinical teams a clear picture of how numbers are moving. Monitor. Improve. Achieve. Data belongs to the participant.

👥

Community

A shared space for HeartStrong Community participants to connect, share experiences, and support each other. Connect. Share. Support. Built around the understanding that community is medicine.

🌟

Daily Inspiration

A daily prompt designed to reinforce the connection between mindset, motivation, and health behavior. Your health is your greatest wealth. Brief, meaningful, and rooted in the HeartStrong values.

🔔

Session Reminders

For HeartStrong Community participants, the app provides reminders for upcoming virtual sessions, medication schedules, and blood pressure check-in times. Everything in one place, so nothing gets missed.

Scope of the App

What the HeartStrong app is and is not designed to do.

Transparency about scope is essential. The HeartStrong app is a self-management support tool, not a clinical decision-making platform.

What It Is Designed to Do

Support daily blood pressure self-monitoring with easy logging and tracking

Deliver evidence-based health education in plain, accessible language

Visualize blood pressure trends over time for participants and their clinical teams

Connect participants in a peer community for shared support and accountability

Provide daily health inspiration grounded in HeartStrong values

Send reminders for sessions, check-ins, and daily health habits

What It Is Not Designed to Do

Provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. All clinical decisions remain with your provider.

Replace the HeartStrong Community clinical team. The app supports, not substitutes, clinical care.

Sell or share your data with third parties. Your health information is never a product.

Collect identifiable health information during the beta pilot. All pilot data is de-identified before analysis.

Require prior HeartStrong Community enrollment. The pilot is open to all qualifying community volunteers.

Connect to or sync with external electronic health records or insurance systems during the pilot.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy is built into the design.

IAWH Health treats the protection of participant data as a foundational commitment, not an afterthought. The following protections are in place for the beta pilot.

🔒

De-Identified Data

All data collected during the beta pilot is de-identified prior to any review or analysis. Your name and personal identifiers are never attached to health or usage data.

📋

Informed Consent

Every beta participant completes an informed consent process before accessing the app. You will understand exactly what data is collected, how it is used, and how to withdraw at any time.

🚫

No Third-Party Sharing

Pilot data is used exclusively for HeartStrong app development and improvement. It is never sold, licensed, or shared with advertisers, insurers, or any external party.

The Evidence Behind Self-Monitoring

Why self-measured blood pressure monitoring works.

The HeartStrong app is built around the practice of self-measured blood pressure monitoring, known as SMBP. This is not a new idea. SMBP has a strong and growing evidence base.

CDC / Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Self-measured blood pressure monitoring, or SMBP, is when people regularly measure their own blood pressure outside of a clinical setting. It is an evidence-based strategy recommended by the CDC and healthcare organizations to improve blood pressure control, support medication management, and give people a more accurate picture of their cardiovascular health than a single office reading can provide.

Volunteer Requirements

Who we are looking for.

Beta pilot volunteers should reflect the community HeartStrong is built to serve. Here is what we are looking for in our 20 pilot participants.

Your Voice Shapes the Final Product

The final app will be built around what you tell us.

Beta pilot participants are not passive users. They are co-designers. Every piece of feedback, what works, what does not, what is missing, what feels right, goes directly into the decisions that shape the final HeartStrong app. This is how technology should be built: with the people it is meant to serve, not for them.

Apply to Participate

20 spots. Community-based. Your input matters.

Space in the beta pilot is intentionally limited to keep feedback specific and the process manageable. If you are interested, write to us now. We will reach out with more information and next steps.

Apply to Be a HeartStrong Beta Tester

Send a brief email expressing your interest in the HeartStrong App Beta Pilot. Include your name, general location, whether you have a hypertension diagnosis, and what type of smartphone you use. That is all we need to get started.
