About the Event
“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
― Eckhart Tolle
It might be difficult to find a reason to be grateful and to show gratitude during these days of uncertainty about the future, unemployment, financial instability, interrupted education, loss of loved ones, health challenges, and even restricted socializing and travel. But did you know that there are emotional health benefits to expressing and showing gratitude?
Gratitude is a core component of the world’s major religions – Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. When we show gratitude, we give back, we acknowledge those that should be properly thanked for supporting or standing by us. Those that show gratitude can experience greater happiness, can be more optimistic, become less self-centered, reduce feelings of envy, and experience elevated self-esteem.
On Sunday, November 15, 3:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. ET, IAWH invites you to another “Writing for Emotional Wellness” therapeutic, prompted writing and expression session focusing on when and how we can express the gratitude that can lead to improved emotional health.
