About the Event
Shame, distrust, fear, anxiety, embarrassment, avoidance, un-forgiveness, disgust, are but a few of the common emotions that can leave us out of communion with friends and family. Everybody has secrets, but do you have secrets that you believe would ruin or destroy you if they were uncovered? Are there secrets in your family that keep distance between family members?
Personal Secrets... Family Secrets... Some family secrets have survived for generations. Bankruptcies... Divorce… Sexuality… Gambling Addiction… Adultery… Pregnancies... Abortions... Adoptions… Substance Use... Rape… Sexual Assault... Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence... or other issues.
On Sunday, October 18, 3:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. ET, IAWH invites you to another “Writing for Emotional Wellness” therapeutic, prompted writing and expression session focusing on facing our secrets and our family secrets. We will write and journal to address harmful and negative emotional expressions that can result from long held and suppressed secrets to free us all from emotional baggage weighing us down.
